During the night the school canteen was broken into.  Considerable damage was done to the doors and locks which were broken open.  A few items of salmon and fruit and three jellies were stolen together with 3/3d in coppers.  The matter was reported to the police who have the matter now under investigation.

4.00pm. The information has just been received from the police that two youths have been apprehended for burglary in the canteen.  A third believed to be involved is being searched for.

To cover the absence of Mr. Penn and Miss Felgate and of Mr. Keast who today commences half time duty a special time table has been put into operation.  Mr. Keast by arrangement of the committee will in future work in school every morning, the afternoon and evenings devoted to Youth Movement Organisation.

Miss Furrell visited the school.  An exhibition of school art and craft work is being held today, Thursday and Friday.    Specimens of the children’s work in textile printing, spinning, weaving and dyeing, toy making modelling, art work, bookbinding, leatherwork, woodwork and needlework are on view.  Parents and friends will have the opportunity of visiting the school at any time during school hours.
